CM Vijay Inaugurates Health, Higher Education, Housing and Civic Infrastructure Projects Across Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Tuesday inaugurated a series of healthcare, higher education, housing, and civic infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening public services across the state.

According to an official statement, the Chief Minister inaugurated several Health Department infrastructure projects through video conferencing from the Secretariat.

The newly inaugurated projects include additional buildings at Government Hospitals in Aranthangi (Pudukottai), Sivakasi, Pallipattu, Pothatturpettai (Tiruvallur), Attur (Dindigul), Marakkanam, and Valavanur (Villupuram). These facilities have been constructed at a total cost of ₹113 crore to improve healthcare services and patient care across Tamil Nadu.

4,260 Housing Units and Higher Education Buildings Inaugurated

In a separate event, Chief Minister Vijay inaugurated 4,260 tenements developed by the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB) across various districts at a cost of ₹525.75 crore, providing improved housing infrastructure for residents.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated a new air-conditioned bus shelter at Perambur, Chennai, along with new higher education department buildings constructed at a cost of ₹274.46 crore, further enhancing educational infrastructure in the state.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ministers N. Anand, Aadhav Arjuna, and P. Viswanathan, along with Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar and other senior government officials.

₹10 Crore Sanctioned for International Women`s Tennis Championship

In a separate announcement, the Tamil Nadu Government said that Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has sanctioned ₹10 crore for organizing the International Women`s Tennis Championship in Chennai.

The tournament is scheduled to be held in November at the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) Stadium in Nungambakkam, Chennai, and is expected to promote international sporting events and women`s tennis in the state.
