Ather Konark Electric Scooter Launched With 200 Km Range

Ather Energy has launched its next generation electric scooter, the ‘Konark’. Designed to suit the budgets of middle-class families, the Ather Konark has been introduced at an attractive starting price of ₹99,999 (ex-showroom).

The Konark is available in two categories, S and Z, with a total of six variants. The Konark S 125 km and 161 km models will go on sale in September. The Konark S 100 km and 200 km models, along with the Z 125 km and 161 km models, are scheduled to enter the market in 2027.

The top-end Konark S 200 can deliver a range of up to 200 km on a single charge. For the first time in India, Ather is offering a warranty of up to 10 years or 1,00,000 km for the fifth-generation ‘PetrOx’ battery platform used in the scooter.

Ather has also introduced a new technology called ‘Magic Key’, which allows the scooter to be operated without a physical key. The scooter automatically unlocks when the user approaches it and locks when the user walks away.

Speaking at the launch event, Tarun Mehta, co-founder of Ather Energy, said, “The Konark has been designed to make electric scooters mainstream in India.”
