The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has announced that online applications for the Class 10 supplementary examinations scheduled in July 2026 will begin from May 26.
Students who failed, were absent, or are eligible to appear as private candidates in the SSLC public examination held during March and April 2026 can apply for the supplementary exams through the online process.
Application Dates for SSLC Supplementary Exam 2026
Eligible students can apply from May 26 to June 6 between 11 am and 5 pm.
- School students who failed or were absent can apply to rewrite failed subjects
- Private candidates can apply through government service centres
Officials said private candidates must carry:
- Aadhaar card
- Passport-size photograph
- Required documents while applying

SSLC Supplementary Exam Fees
Students applying for the Tamil Nadu 10th supplementary exam must pay:
Examination fee: ₹125
Online registration fee: ₹70
Total fee: ₹195
Fees can be paid at schools or service centres depending on the category of the candidate.
Tatkal Application Facility Also Announced
Students who miss the regular application deadline can apply under the Tatkal special scheme on June 9 and June 10.
Under the Tatkal method:
Examination fee: ₹125
Special Tatkal fee: ₹500
Registration fee: ₹70
Total fee: ₹695
However, students from government-aided schools who failed the 2026 SSLC exam will receive exemption from the ₹500 Tatkal special fee.
