Ajith Kumar to Race in London Today as Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Flags Off Michelin Le Mans Cup

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, who is on a six-day official visit to London to attract new investments to the state, will flag off a car racing event featuring actor Ajith Kumar today.

Chief Minister Vijay left for London from Chennai at around 10:00 PM on September 10 aboard an Emirates flight via Dubai. He arrived at London Heathrow Airport at around 7:00 AM on September 11.

Warm Welcome in London

Vijay was warmly welcomed at the airport by Jacob Ravibalan, president of the British Tamil Association, TVK leader Thuraikannan and members of the Tamil community living in the UK. They presented him with bouquets upon his arrival.

He later travelled to the Shangri-La The Shard hotel, located in the iconic The Shard building in the London Bridge area. The hotel occupies floors 34 to 52 of the building and offers views of the River Thames and the London cityscape.

Focus on Attracting Investments

Attracting new investments to Tamil Nadu and creating high-quality employment opportunities are the key objectives of Vijay`s UK visit.

During the visit, the Chief Minister is scheduled to meet business leaders and representatives of major companies to discuss investment opportunities in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, automobiles, electric vehicles, electronics and global capability centres.

Ajith Kumar to Participate in Silverstone Race

As part of a major event during his UK visit, Chief Minister Vijay will travel to the famous Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit today. He will officially flag off the Michelin Le Mans Cup car race being held at the venue.

Actor Ajith Kumar is participating in the race along with leading Indian racing drivers.

According to the schedule, the race will begin at 9:45 PM Indian Standard Time and conclude at 11:45 PM.
