Gold prices in Chennai declined on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, according to the latest morning update from the Madras Jewellers and Diamond Merchants Association (MJDTA). The prices of 22-carat, 18-carat and 14-carat gold recorded a fall, while silver prices remained unchanged at ₹245 per gram.

22-Carat Gold Rate Today in Chennai

The 22-carat gold rate in Chennai stands at ₹13,590 per gram, registering a decline of ₹95 compared with the previous rate.

Based on this price, the cost of one sovereign (8 grams) of 22-carat gold is ₹1,08,720. This amount excludes jewellery making charges, GST and other applicable costs.

18K and 14K Gold Prices Decline

The 18-carat gold rate has decreased by ₹75 to ₹11,165 per gram. Meanwhile, 14-carat gold is priced at ₹8,950 per gram, down ₹70.

Silver prices have remained stable at ₹245 per gram, with no change recorded in the latest update.

Gold Price Update in Chennai
