TTD Venkatadri App Launch: Tirumala Navigation, AI Assistant and Offline Maps

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is set to launch the Venkatadri mobile app to help devotees navigate the Tirumala hill shrine and easily locate essential facilities, including darshan queue entrances, accommodation, food services and transportation.

The app is designed to improve the pilgrimage experience by providing directions to more than 100 locations across Tirumala. It will also help devotees find drinking water kiosks, restrooms, police assistance centres, luggage deposit facilities and free bus stops.

Venkatadri App Features for Tirumala Devotees

The new app will offer several features to make visiting the Tirumala temple easier and more convenient.

Navigation to 100+ locations: Find darshan queue entrances, accommodation counters, Annaprasadam facilities and other essential services.

Offline navigation: Access directions even in areas with poor mobile network coverage or without an internet connection.

Mark My Spot: Save the current location or mark a parked vehicle to find it easily later.

AI voice assistant: The AI-powered assistant, named Govinda, will provide round-the-clock guidance and help users locate facilities or contact the police.

Five-language support: The app is expected to support five languages, including Telugu and English.

The Venkatadri app is expected to be available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. According to TTD, it is expected to become fully operational by Garuda Seva.

Smart Display Kiosks for Devotees Without Smartphones

To help devotees who do not use smartphones, TTD plans to install 20 smart display kiosks at important junctions across Tirumala.

Visitors will be able to enter their destinations and view directions and other relevant information on the display screens. This facility is intended to make navigation easier for elderly pilgrims and other visitors who may need assistance finding their way around the hill shrine.

TTD Develops Ambulance Tracking App with IIT Kanpur

Separately, TTD has developed an ambulance tracking application in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to strengthen emergency medical services during the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams, which begin on October 12.

With large crowds expected during the festival, ambulances and medical personnel will be stationed along the four Mada streets and other crowded areas to provide timely assistance to devotees who fall ill.

The application will display ambulance locations and details of the assigned drivers and medical staff. An alert will be generated if a driver or medical staff member moves more than 20 metres away from the ambulance, allowing the designated officer to check their availability.

A command-and-control centre is also being established at TTD Ashwini Hospital to coordinate emergency medical services and personnel.

TTD Focuses on Technology-Enabled Pilgrim Services

TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary said the Venkatadri app was developed with support from the team of NRI donor Jayaprakash.

The navigation app and ambulance tracking system are intended to improve access to information, simplify movement around Tirumala and strengthen emergency response during major religious events.

Devotees are advised to check official TTD announcements for the app`s release, download links and operational updates before travelling to Tirumala.
