Chennai to Get a Massive 15 Lakh Sq. Ft. Saravana Stores Retail Complex on Radial Road

Chennai is set to witness a major retail development, with The New Saravana Stores planning a massive 15 lakh sq. ft. retail complex along Pallavaram–Thoraipakkam Radial Road. The proposed project could become one of the largest single retail outlets in India and potentially the biggest of its kind in Chennai.

The ambitious project is being planned by the Legend Group, led by industrialist Saravanan Arul. It will mark the group`s fourth major retail outlet in Chennai.

According to reports, the land identified for the development is estimated to be worth approximately ₹1,500 crore, based on its current market valuation of around ₹10,000 per sq. ft. The property was reportedly acquired several years ago, before Radial Road emerged as an important commercial corridor in South Chennai.

The proposed mega retail destination is expected to bring multiple shopping categories under one roof. These include gold and diamond jewellery, furniture, home décor, household appliances and electronic products. The development is expected to expand the group`s large-format retail business and offer customers a comprehensive shopping experience.

Currently, the Legend Group operates major outlets in T. Nagar, Padi and Anna Nagar`s Park Road. The proposed Radial Road development would significantly expand its retail presence in Chennai.

With its strategic location connecting Pallavaram and Thoraipakkam, the project could further strengthen Radial Road`s position as a major commercial destination in South Chennai.

The proposed 15 lakh sq. ft. development is expected to attract considerable attention from shoppers and the retail industry. Further details regarding construction timelines and the opening date are awaited.
