Chennai Metro Timetable on Vinayagar Chaturthi: Sunday Schedule on September 14

Chennai Metro Rail services will operate according to the Sunday timetable on Monday, September 14, 2026, in view of Vinayagar Chaturthi, Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has announced.

Metro train services will be available from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM on the festival day. The service frequency will be adjusted throughout the day based on expected passenger demand.

Chennai Metro Train Timings on September 14

5:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Trains every 10 minutes

12:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Trains every 7 minutes

8:00 PM to 10:00 PM: Trains every 10 minutes

10:00 PM to 11:00 PM: Trains every 15 minutes

The increased frequency during the afternoon is aimed at accommodating passengers travelling across Chennai for Vinayagar Chaturthi celebrations.

Passengers using the Chennai Metro on September 14 are advised to plan their journeys according to the revised Sunday timetable.
