Indian Bank Sanctions ₹500 Crore in MSME Loans During 120th Foundation Day Celebrations

Indian Bank sanctioned nearly ₹500 crore in MSME loans to 128 beneficiaries during a special credit outreach programme held as part of its 120th Foundation Day fortnight celebrations.

The loan sanction letters were handed over by MD & CEO Binod Kumar, highlighting the bank`s commitment to supporting MSMEs and contributing to the Government`s Viksit Bharat vision. As part of the fortnight-long celebrations, the bank is organising loan melas, CSR initiatives, digital banking programmes, and customer outreach activities across the country, with credit proposals worth ₹1,250 crore under process.

The bank also launched its Unified MSME Portal, a digital platform designed to provide seamless banking services for MSME customers. Under its CSR initiatives, Indian Bank donated wheelchairs to the Naina Activity Education Society and sewing machines to Sakshi NGO in Delhi to promote community welfare and livelihood opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, Binod Kumar reaffirmed the bank`s goal of achieving ₹35 lakh crore in business by 2032 through technology-driven, customer-focused banking and financial inclusion.
