IndiGo has increased the charges for several additional and special services, with the revised rates coming into effect from Thursday.
The airline, which operates more than 2,500 flights a day, has increased fees for services including excess baggage, infant travel, and unaccompanied children travelling on flights.
The charge for excess baggage has been increased from ₹700 to ₹800 per kilogram for baggage exceeding the permitted weight limit.
The fee for infants aged between three days and two years has been raised from ₹2,000 to ₹3,000. Infants travelling under this ticket category are not provided with a separate seat.
For domestic flights, the additional charge for children aged 5 to 12 years travelling without their parents has been increased from ₹5,000 to ₹5,999.
For the same unaccompanied minor service on international flights, the charge is ₹12,999.
