Tamil Nadu Veterinary Admissions 2026: Rank List Released, Counselling Dates to Be Announced Soon

The Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) has released the rank list for admissions to BVSc and B.Tech programmes for the 2026-27 academic year. The online counselling schedule will be announced shortly.

Tamil Nadu has seven veterinary colleges, including those in Chennai and Namakkal, offering a total of 660 seats in the Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) programme. The university also offers B.Tech programmes in Dairy Technology, Poultry Technology, and Food Technology.

Online applications for these courses were accepted from May 25 to June 17, 2026. The rank list, along with the names of the top five rank holders in each programme, was released by Animal Husbandry Minister S. Kamali at the Secretariat in Chennai.

In the BVSc programme, R. Shalini from Villupuram secured the first rank, followed by V. Yashika from Cuddalore in second place. M. Merlin, also from Cuddalore, secured the third rank, while K. Janakan from Ariyalur and T. Divya Varshini from Cuddalore secured the fourth and fifth ranks, respectively. Notably, all five students secured a perfect cut-off score of 200 out of 200.

Candidates can check their rank on the TANUVAS official website. Those who find any discrepancies in the rank list can submit their grievances between July 31 and August 2 through the university`s helpline numbers or official email.

The university has stated that the online counselling dates will be announced soon.
