Alert: Additional charges for withdrawal of cash from ATMs from 1st August!
New regulations will be implemented for financial transactions through ATM cards, Debits cards, and Credit cards from 1st August!
In a notification released in this regard by the Reserve Bank of India in June, it had been mentioned that the charges for transactions have been increased from Rs. 15/- to Rs. 17/-. For cashless transactions, it is revised from Rs. 5/- to Rs. 6/-.
It had further been announced that the savings account holders in bank branches can withdraw cash free for a maximum of 5 times in a month and the transactions after 5 times will be charged Rs. 17/- for each further transaction.
The above regulations will be effective from 1st August!
The basic account holders in the State Bank of India can withdraw cash free 4 times a month. Similarly, the first 10 cheque transactions in a month will be free.
