Tamil Nadu Weather Today: Heavy Rain Likely in 9 Districts Including Chennai, Says RMC

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast heavy rainfall in nine districts of Tamil Nadu today due to favourable weather conditions and an upper-air cyclonic circulation.

According to the latest weather bulletin, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Chennai, Tiruvallur, Tiruchirappalli, and Karur are likely to receive heavy rain at isolated places on Wednesday, August 5.

Residents in the affected districts have been advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas. Motorists are also urged to drive carefully during periods of heavy rainfall.

The weather department is closely monitoring the situation and will issue further updates if weather conditions change.
