Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to intensify election campaigning in Tamil Nadu with a major roadshow in Mylapore, Chennai, on April 4, in support of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates.

With the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections scheduled for April 23, political activity across the state has picked up pace. The nomination process has already begun, and major parties have launched aggressive campaign strategies to reach voters in the limited time remaining.

Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has kickstarted his statewide campaign to support DMK and alliance candidates. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin began his campaign from Kanchipuram. On the other side, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami is actively campaigning across districts for his party and its allies.

In this heated political backdrop, Narendra Modi will first campaign in Puducherry on April 3, before arriving in Chennai the next day. His roadshow in Mylapore is expected to draw significant attention as part of the NDA’s push to strengthen its presence in the state.

The Mylapore constituency has been allotted to the BJP, and former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan is likely to be fielded as the party’s candidate. Modi’s campaign is expected to boost her prospects, with plans for a grand roadshow to attract voters and energize party workers.

Sources also indicate that the Prime Minister may continue his campaign trail in key regions like Kanyakumari and Coimbatore in the coming days, further strengthening NDA’s outreach ahead of the elections.

As election day approaches, Tamil Nadu is witnessing intense political action, with top leaders from all major parties stepping up their efforts to connect with voters across the state.
