Madras High Court Launches Website to Track Unclaimed Accident Compensation

The Madras High Court has introduced a dedicated online portal to help identify and monitor unclaimed compensation amounts in motor accident claims and labour compensation cases across Tamil Nadu.

The new facility has been developed with the support of the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Chennai. It aims to improve transparency and help ensure that compensation deposited in courts reaches the rightful beneficiaries without unnecessary delays.

Digital Dashboard to Track Compensation Claims

Under the High Court`s administrative directions, district principal judges have been instructed to ensure that details of cases filed under the Motor Vehicles Act and labour compensation laws are regularly uploaded and updated on the digital dashboard.

The portal will help courts identify compensation amounts that have remained unclaimed for extended periods in motor accident claims and labour-related cases.

Faster Access to Compensation for Beneficiaries

The online facility will also enable authorities to monitor compensation deposits held by different courts across Tamil Nadu from a centralised platform. This is expected to make it easier to identify eligible beneficiaries and facilitate the timely disbursement of pending compensation.

People seeking information about the facility can visit the official Madras High Court portal at the address below.

The initiative is expected to strengthen digital monitoring of court-held compensation funds and improve access to information for eligible claimants.
