Passengers travelling on the Chennai Egmore–Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express on June 30, 2026, should note changes in train timings due to yard remodelling work at Tirunelveli.
According to Southern Railway, the Chennai Egmore–Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20627), originally scheduled to depart at 5:00 AM, will leave 45 minutes later at 5:45 AM on June 30.
Similarly, the Nagercoil–Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20628), scheduled to depart at 2:20 PM, will instead leave at 3:30 PM, resulting in a delay of 1 hour and 10 minutes.
In addition, the Tiruchirappalli–Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Express (Train No. 22627), departing at 7:15 AM on June 30, will be diverted via Virudhunagar, Rajapalayam, Tenkasi, and Kollam.
Due to the diversion, the train will not stop at Sattur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, Valliyur, Nagercoil Town, and Kuzhithurai.
Instead, it will have additional stoppages at the following stations:
- Tenkasi
- Sengottai
- Punalur
- Kollam
Southern Railway has advised passengers to check the revised schedule before commencing their journey to avoid inconvenience.
