Tamil Nadu Launches Rs 200 Essential Grocery Kit to Help Control Price Rise

The Tamil Nadu Cooperative Department has launched a special grocery kit containing 10 essential food items for Rs 200 to help consumers manage rising prices of essential commodities.

Cooperation Minister Gandhiraj inaugurated the sale of the grocery kits at the Marudham Cooperative Supermarket, operated by the Saidapet Cooperative Sales Society in Sengunram. The minister distributed the kits to 100 beneficiaries during the launch on Friday.

The special grocery kit contains 10 essential grocery items weighing a total of 1,450 grams. The kits are being sold at 128 cooperative outlets across Tamil Nadu at a price of Rs 200 per pack.
