Tamil Nadu to Receive Rain for the Next Two Days: Chennai, Tiruvallur Among Areas Likely to Get Showers

Several parts of Tamil Nadu are likely to receive rain over the next two days, according to the latest weather forecast issued by the Chennai Meteorological Centre.

A trough extending from South Telangana to the Gulf of Mannar through Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu is prevailing at around 0.9 km above sea level. Due to this weather system, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at one or two places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today.

On September 9, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the Western Ghats districts.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning may also occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, Tiruvallur and Ranipet districts.

Tamil Nadu Rain Forecast for September 10

On September 10, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the following districts:

Western Ghats districts, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukkottai, Madurai, Virudhunagar and Sivaganga.

Puducherry and Karaikal may also receive moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places.

The weather system is expected to bring rainfall to several parts of Tamil Nadu over the next two days, with Chennai and neighbouring districts also likely to receive showers.
