TNPSC Group 4 Application Last Date 2026 Extended: Apply Online by November 8

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has extended the application deadline for the Group 4 examination to November 8, 2026. Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications can now apply online until 11:59 PM on the extended deadline.

The commission had earlier announced November 5 as the last date to apply. The extension gives additional time to candidates who wish to take part in the recruitment process.

TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2026: 6,574 Vacancies

TNPSC released the Group 4 recruitment notification on October 6, 2026, to fill 6,574 vacancies in various departments of the Tamil Nadu government.

The recruitment covers several posts, including:

- Village Administrative Officer (VAO)

- Junior Assistant

- Typist

- Steno-Typist

- Revenue Assistant

- Other Group 4 posts

Online registration began on October 6, and the original application deadline was November 5.

Why Was the TNPSC Group 4 Application Deadline Extended?

The application deadline has been extended following a government order issued by the Tamil Nadu Human Resources Management Department on October 30, 2026.

The order increased the upper age limit for direct recruitment to government jobs by five years. Following this change, TNPSC decided to extend the application period for the Group 4 examination.

The extension was announced by TNPSC Secretary Bhanoth Mrugendran Lala in a press release issued on Wednesday.
