Southern Railway Announces Weekend Special Trains Between Chennai Central and Podanur from July 3 to August 2

To meet increased passenger demand, Southern Railway has announced weekend special train services between Chennai Central and Podanur from July 3 to August 2, 2026.

Train No. 06028 (Podanur–Chennai Central) will depart Podanur at 7:40 AM every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, reaching Chennai Central at 4:45 PM the same day.

Train No. 06027 (Chennai Central–Podanur) will leave Chennai Central at 5:45 PM on the same days and arrive at Podanur at 3:00 AM the following day.

The special services aim to provide additional travel options and accommodate the increased weekend passenger rush.
