Tamil Nadu Launches 'Nalam AI' WhatsApp Chatbot for Government Hospital OP Booking

Nalam AI has been launched by the Tamil Nadu Government to make it easier for patients to book Outpatient (OP) appointments at government hospitals through WhatsApp.The service was inaugurated by Arunraj and is currently being introduced on a pilot basis at the Cardiology Department of Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.With the new chatbot, patients can complete self-registration and obtain their OP slips from home, helping reduce long queues at hospitals and improve access to healthcare services.

• Save the WhatsApp number 98192 22999.

• Send "HI" to start the conversation.

• Follow the chatbot`s instructions to enter your details.

• Complete the registration and book your OP appointment.

The Tamil Nadu Government plans to expand the Nalam AI service to more government hospitals in the future, making hospital registration and appointment booking faster, simpler, and more convenient for the public.
