Top Performing Districts Shine in Tamil Nadu Plus-2 Results 2026; Erode Secures State First Rank

The results of the Tamil Nadu Plus-2 public examinations were released today, with an overall pass percentage of 95.20%. A total of 7.53 lakh students successfully cleared the examination this year.

Among the successful candidates, 4,06,167 are female students, recording an impressive pass percentage of 97%, while 3,47,527 male students passed with a pass percentage of 93.19%.

Continuing the trend seen over the years, female students outperformed male students once again. The pass percentage among girls was 3.81% higher than that of boys.

A total of 7,536 higher secondary schools participated in the examinations this year. Out of these, 2,639 schools achieved a 100% pass result, including 489 government schools.

Under the Tamil Nadu School Education curriculum, the Plus-2 public examinations were conducted from March 2 to March 26 across 3,412 examination centres. Around 8.27 lakh students appeared for the examinations statewide.

The answer sheet evaluation process was carried out at more than 150 centres between April 6 and April 20.

Students can access their results by entering their registration number and date of birth on the following official websites:

The examination results will also be sent via SMS to the registered mobile numbers of school students and private candidates.

Results Available Through WhatsApp for the First Time

For the first time, the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency has introduced a facility for students to access their examination results through WhatsApp.

Students can check their results by sending a “Hi” message to WhatsApp number 78452 52525. Candidates will then be guided to enter details such as Department Name, Class, Examination Number, and Date of Birth to view their results.
