Tamil Nadu Government Reshuffles IAS and IPS Officers; Udhayachandran Appointed as TIDCO Chairman
The Tamil Nadu government has announced a major reshuffle of senior IAS and IPS officers following the appointment of Vijay as Chief Minister.
As part of the administrative changes, Udhayachandran IAS has been appointed as the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). Earlier, both Udhayachandran IAS and Amudha IAS had been placed on the waiting list.
Key IAS Appointments Announced
The Tamil Nadu government also announced several important departmental appointments:
- Dharesh Ahmed appointed as Health Secretary
- Anu George appointed as Fisheries Secretary
- Mariam Pallavi Baldev appointed as Secretary of the Women Rights Department
- Kumar Jayanth appointed as Managing Director of Tamil Nadu - Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL)
Asra Garg Appointed as Tamil Nadu Intelligence IG
In another significant move, Asra Garg has been appointed as the Inspector General (IG) of the Tamil Nadu Intelligence Department.
Previously serving as North Zone IG, Asra Garg has held several important positions in the past, including:
- South Zone IG
- Additional Commissioner of Chennai North Police
He had also headed the Special Investigation Team formed to probe the Karur TVK campaign crowd congestion case.
Major Administrative Changes in Tamil Nadu
The latest IAS and IPS reshuffle is seen as part of the Tamil Nadu government’s effort to reorganize key administrative departments under the new leadership.
The appointments are expected to play an important role in governance, industrial development, public administration and law enforcement across the state.
