Gold prices in Chennai increased on October 27, 2026, according to the latest Madras Jewellers and Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA) rate update. The price of 22-carat gold rose by ₹50 per gram, while 18-carat gold increased by ₹45 per gram. The price of 14-carat gold also went up by ₹40 per gram. Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged.

22-carat gold (1 sovereign / 8 grams): ₹1,05,080 (Up ₹400)

18-carat gold (1 gram): ₹10,750 (Up ₹45)

14-carat gold (1 gram): ₹8,590 (Up ₹40)

Silver (1 gram): ₹220 (No change)

22-Carat Gold Price Increases in Chennai

The price of 22-carat gold has increased by ₹50 per gram, reaching ₹13,135. As a result, the price of one sovereign (8 grams) has risen by ₹400 to ₹1,05,080.

Similarly, 18-carat gold is now priced at ₹10,750 per gram, following an increase of ₹45. The price of 14-carat gold has climbed by ₹40 to ₹8,590 per gram.

In contrast, silver prices remained stable at ₹220 per gram.
