All the banks in Tamil Nadu will be closed for today and tomorrow. Since people will be heading to ATMs, it is likely to crash. From the month of August a new rule for the banks were formulated.
Accordingly the banks were declared holidays on 2nd and 4th Saturdays. The 1st and 3rd Saturdays were announced as working days. As per today being the fourth Saturday banks have been declared holidays. Moreover Sunday is a general holiday. Hence all the banks will not function on Saturday and Sunday. Banks will function only on Monday. Similarly the Reserve Bank of India will not function on these two days.
