Tirupati Temple Sees Heavy Rush; Devotees Face Up to 24-Hour Wait for Darshan

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) witnessed a massive influx of devotees, with 77,874 pilgrims having darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday.

During the day:

- 35,302 devotees offered their hair as part of their vows.

- The temple received ₹4.92 crore in offerings through its hundis.

- More than 4.16 lakh laddus were sold.

- 2.63 lakh devotees were served Anna Prasadam.

Due to the heavy crowd, all compartments at the Vaikuntam Queue Complex were filled by Thursday morning, with queues extending up to Silathoranam.

As a result, devotees opting for free darshan are expected to wait 20-24 hours before entering the temple.

Meanwhile, devotees with ₹300 Special Entry Darshan tickets completed darshan in about 4 hours, while those holding time-slot tokens had an average waiting time of around 8 hours.
