Kalpvasis refuse to leave Sangam
Kalpvasis in the Allahabad Maha Kumbh Mela have refused to move despite heavy rains where tents were submerged. However, sadhus have agreed to move to nearby schools which have been converted into living areas.
Kalpvasis are those who take kalpvas which means staying near the Sangam and performing rituals all through the day.
