Mother�s name in the degrees, certificates and application forms is compulsory: UGC
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sought a stricter compliance of its directive regarding inclusion of mother`s name in the degrees, certificates and application forms issued by the university and affiliated colleges.
The move is aimed at helping children of unwed, divorced and separated mothers to avoid the embarrassment caused by the column `Father`s Name`.
