Chennai Water Supply Cut: Drinking Water Distribution Halted in Thiruvottiyur and Manali Areas
The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has announced a temporary suspension of drinking water supply in select areas of Thiruvottiyur and Manali due to major pipeline connection works.
According to officials, the maintenance and pipeline linking work will be carried out near J.K. Mahal, Madhavaram–Chengundram Road, leading to a temporary shutdown of the Thiruvottiyur water distribution station and Madhavaram booster water distribution station. The supply interruption will be in effect from 10:00 PM on February 20 until 10:00 AM on February 21.
Areas Affected
Water supply through pipelines will be temporarily stopped in the following areas:
Thiruvottiyur Zone:
Ernavoor, Raja Shanmuga Nagar, Kargil Nagar
Manali Zone:
Manali Pudhu Nagar, Nappalayam, Sadayankuppam, Andarkuppam, Dwaraka Nagar, Manali, Mathur and surrounding localities.
