Centre to go ahead with Sethusamudram project
The R K Pachauri committee has reported that the Rama Sethu project was not practically possible due to economic and ecologic difficulties. However, the centre has rejected this report even before the Supreme Court�s order and has planned to continue with the Sethusamudram Ship Channel Project.
This has completely disappointed with the environmentalists and marine biologists. It is to be noted that the law stated to carry out certain environmental impact analysis on the project.
