Salary for 4th October will be cut in case the employees go on leave
The state government of Tamil Nadu has ordered that the salary will be cut for 1 day on 4th October if the employees go on leave.
Joint Action Council of Teachers Organisations and Government Employees Organisations (JACTO-GEO) had announced its decision to go on strike for 1 day on 4th October demanding action on several issues.
In the above situation, the Chief Secretary of the State Government Girija Vaidyanathan has sent a circular to all the district collectors and the secretaries of the various state government departments regarding this - Citing that a concerted effort on the part of employees to go on leave will hugely adversely affect the government activities, the Chief Secretary has stated that 1-day`s salary will be cut for taking leave on 4th October without approval.
