Famous playback singer Nagore EM Hanifa passes away

Nagore EM Hanifa who is a famous playback singer and DMK propagandist died on Wednesday at 8 pm in his residence in Kotturpuram. He had sung a number of Tamil Muslim devotional songs and was a leading propagandist of DMK for more than five decades.
Hailing from the pilgrim town of Nagore in Nagapattinam district, Hanifa`s voice was popular among the DMK cadre.
He was a member of the now defunct Tamil Nadu Legislative Council in the early 1970s.
