Bank strikes on 7th January, 21st,22nd, 23rd and 24th January

All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and other unions have given a call for more strikes in 2015.Its general secretary C. H. Venkatachalam told presspersons here on Friday that a strike will be organized on January 7, 2015, followed by strike from January 21 to 24 and indefinite strike from March 16.
He said that more strikes have been necessitated as nothing tangible has come out of strikes organized four times in the past. Wage revision for bank employees was due from November 2012.
A charter of demands submitted by the union has been pending for the past two years.
