SRM gets new burns ward
A state-of-the-art burns unit was inaugurated by Dr K Mathangi Ramakrishnan at SRM Institute for Medical Sciences on Wednesday.
The comprehensive burns ward has a six-bed intensive care unit with facilities such as temperature control and positive pressure laminar flow ventilation handled by a separate air handling unit.In addition it has burn bath tub, ventilators to support respiratory problems. These are managed by experts.
