UII to handle health insurance scheme for pensioners
The Tamil Nadu state has chosen public sector company United India Insurance (UII) for implementing the health insurance scheme for pensioners. The contract was awarded for a four-year period. The finance department has fixed the quantum of assistance at Rs 2 lakh to the pensioner, his spouse and family pensioners.
