The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and IIT Kanpur have launched India`s first four-year Bachelor of Cybersecurity (B Cyber) programme, marking a major step towards building a skilled cybersecurity workforce.
The programme has been introduced to address the growing demand for cybersecurity experts as India`s digital economy continues to expand. It offers a blend of classroom learning and hands-on training in cyber defence, ethical hacking, digital forensics, penetration testing, malware analysis, cloud security, and critical infrastructure protection.
Students will also complete a two-year field deployment project, gaining practical experience by working on live cybersecurity assignments under the guidance of industry professionals.
With admissions now open, the B Cyber programme aims to prepare students for careers in cybersecurity, digital defence, and information security while supporting India`s growing need for skilled cyber professionals.
