Soon, facilitation counters are likely to be set up, as per the Union Tourism Ministry plans. There are also going to be such counters at Mumbai, Kolkata, Gaya and Varanasi.

In the month of May in 2017 a bus shelter opposite to the Iyyappanthangal bus terminus was vandalised. The commuters since then have been demanding a new bus shelter. Few months back it was summer season.
