Steps being taken to tackle mosquito menace
The Corporation of Chennai has started an awareness program to involve the public in tackling the mosquito menace in the city. The program aims at preventing an outbreak of vector and water borne diseases like malaria, chikungunya and dengue.

Moovarasampet Eri gets a revamp
Sabari Green Foundation is a tree planting and lake cleaning NGO. The revival of this lake will help harvest rain water and bring up the ground water level. The Moovarasampet Eri Rejuvenation Committee has been formed for the purpose.
