It has been announced that the mortal remains of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIDMK General Secretary J Jayalalitha mortal remains will be laid to rest at 4.30 pm today near her mentor MGR and Annadurai.

After the demise of Jayalalithaa, O Panneerselvam took oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister at around 1.15 am on Tuesday. Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao administered the oath of office and oath of secrecy to O Panneerselvam.
