Sugar subsidy cancellation will not have impact on Tamil Nadu
In Tamil Nadu under Public Distribution System, rice, wheat, sugar and other essential commodities are sold through ration shops at subsidized rates. Sugar is sold for Rs 13.50 per kg for green and white colour card holders.

Drought compensation for farmers in Tamil Nadu to be credited to their bank savings account

Additional sheets have been inserted in 1.75 Crores ration cards. The validity of the ration cards in Tamil Nadu was over in 2009. After this additional sheets were inserted and the validity was extended.
