The Indian Meteorological Bureau has informed that the new cyclone Ockhi has formed over the Kanyakumari area. The very low-pressure zone has formed and is situated 170 km Southwest of Kanyakumari.

Cyclone Ockhi wont make landfall, still as long you stay at home, its safe. Dont stand under the trees. Particularly the Rubber trees. It can be easily uprooted.

Cyclone Ockhi will not come into land and will only browse the coast Kanyakumari and Trivandrum Coast.

As time goes, the rains will pick up in Chennai too from Tonight and tomorrow. We can get good rains with occassional sharp spells from tonight till 1st December.

As predicted by Skymet Weather, the south coastal districts received good rains in the last 24 hours. All thanks to the well-marked low-pressure area that was over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka coast.
