Paytm: transactions may be done without service charges
Paytm has announced that banking transactions can be done with any bank without any service charges. The central government declared on 8th November that the currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 as invalid.

ICICI and HDFC banks lower FD rates
Major banks in the country, including ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank, have lowered their FD rates by up to .25 per cent. The lowering in fixed deposit rates may herald reduction in lending rate as well in the next few days.

Will private and government employees get their salaries on 1st December?
In an unexpected move, India�s Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in a special address on 8th evening that Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes will be demonetized. New Rs 500 and Rs 2000 are being dispensed through banks.
