Old Rs.500 will not be accepted at petrol outlets from midnight of 2nd Dec
With effect from the midnight of 2nd December, 2016, old Rs. 500 bank notes will not be accepted at petrol, diesel and gas outlets of Public Sector Oil and Gas Marketing Companies as well as for purchase of Air Tickets at Airports.

LPG cylinders prices hiked
The prices of LPG cylinders (subsidized cooking gas) were hiked by Rs.55 on Thursday morning. As per the modified rates, a subsidized 14.2-kg cylinder will now cost Rs.593.50 in Chennai as against Rs.538.50 previously.

LPG price hikes and that of ATF cuts down
The price of Aviation turbine fuel is cut by 3.7 percent and that of LPG is increased by 2.07 per cylinder. This counts to the 7th such increase in LPG price in the past six months.

Old Rs 500 notes will not be accepted in airports and petrol bunks from 3rd December
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation on November 8, had announced that currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 would no longer be considered valid and that citizens should get them exchanged.

Petrol price hiked by 13 paisa a litre, diesel cut by 12 paisa
Petrol price was on Wednesday hiked by 13 paisa per litre and diesel price decreased by 12 paisa per litre. Revised rates will take effect from midnight.
