Approval given to RBI to print Rs.10 plastic notes: Central Govt
It has been decided to conduct a field trial with plastic banknotes at five locations of the country. Approval for procurement of plastic substrate and printing of bank notes of Rs.10 denomination on plastic banknote.

US Fed rate hike will not impact RBI policy

Are only 3 days available for the exchange of old currency notes? Decision yet to be taken
The officials from the Central Ministry of Finance informed that a final decision is yet to be taken regarding whether to permit 3 more days for exchanging the old demonetised currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000.

Cabinet approves additional 2% Dearness Allowance
The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved release of an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 01.01.2017.
