Starting from today, restriction towards cash withdrawal from bank accounts is completely withdrawn. On 8th November 2016, the government had restricted withdrawal limit at the time of currency demonetization.

The cost of gold has decreased Rs.152 per sovereign on Friday evening (March 10, 2017). A sovereign was worth Rs.21920.00 and a gram was Rs.2740.00. The cost of 1 gram of pure gold (24K) is now Rs.2932.00.

Lok Sabha passes bill to raise maternity leave to 26 weeks
Lok Sabha passed on 9th March, 2017 the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Bill, 2016 which inter-alia includes increasing maternity benefit to woman covered under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 from 12 weeks to 26 weeks.
