Gold rate decreased Rs.128 per sovereign
The cost of gold has decreased Rs.128 per sovereign on Saturday morning (April 8, 2017). A sovereign was worth Rs.22088.00 and a gram was Rs.2761.00. The cost of 1 gram of pure gold (24K) is now Rs.2954.00.

No ban on Rs 2 lakh and above withdrawal from banks or post offices
The Central Board of Direct Taxes said that ban imposed on cash transactions above Rs 2 lakh that is in existence will not be applicable for withdrawals from savings account maintained with banks or post offices.
