Drumstick is harvested in the areas covering 2000 hectares in Dindigul, Natham, Vedasandhur, Reddiyarchathiram, Ottanchathiram, and Palani. As there was no stock available, drumstick was sold at Dindigul at a price of Rs. 800 per kg!

Sewage at the reservoirs checked by Public Works Department
PWD officials have taken some water samples from Chembarambakam and Red Hills reservoirs for checking the contamination. To check for sewage and effluent contamination at the reservoirs, the PWD officials have done this now.
