Deepavali crackers to be hiked by 5 percent only
Sivakasi fireworks dealers have mentioned that there will be only 5 percent price hike in the crackers due to lack of sufficient orders. The price list of the crackers for the Deepavali festival has been released now.

24 transmission signals intercepted but none of them from the ill-fated aircraft
The search teams searching the missing AN 32 IAF flight have so far found about 30 floating objects and intercepted 24 transmission signals but none of them were from the ill-fated aircraft.The plane went missing while flying back from Chennai to Port Blair.

Heavy traffic jam at Perungalathur
Due to three serious accidents, the traffic is chocking in Perungalathur near Tambaram. At Perungalathur, the traffic is choked, with motorists finding it difficult to bypass the traffic on the highway. Police are doing their best to regulate the traffic.
