In spite of handing over the responsibility of distributing Aadhar cards in the hands of state government of Tamil Nadu, there is still a delay in the work for technical issues in the process.

Apply for fresh ration cards online from Deepavali
The Ration Cards are issued to the Beneficiaries based on the Government rules, and is eligible only for Indian citizens. Public Distribution System department will be introducing the scheme.

6387 policemen transferred to armed force department
DGP has ordered the transfers of 6387 police personnel from Tamil Nadu Special Police Force to Armed force. 8500 members who belonged to Tamil Nadu Special Police Youth Brigade were absorbed as Grade- II Police Constables.

Aadhar card scanning deadline gets extended
Ration cards that are currently in use by the public are set to get expired by December this year. Hence, the government has devised plans to distribute smart cards instead of ration cards.
