Wheat to be given along with rice in ration shops
Rice is the main food in Tamil Nadu. Most of the people of Tamil Nadu eat rice twice a day. Hence the requirement of rice will be more in Tamil Nadu. Knowing the essentiality of the rice, Tamil Nadu is distributing.

Sugar subsidy cancellation will not have impact on Tamil Nadu
In Tamil Nadu under Public Distribution System, rice, wheat, sugar and other essential commodities are sold through ration shops at subsidized rates. Sugar is sold for Rs 13.50 per kg for green and white colour card holders.

Drought compensation for farmers in Tamil Nadu to be credited to their bank savings account
